Your First Blog – Part 4 Getting Started With Content

So you now have a blog and want to market it and make it a successful blog.  How do you do this? How do you draw readers and keep them coming back for more?

Simply put, content is king!  Nothing else is as important as content.  All the plug-ins, widgets, and fancy graphics mean absolutely nothing if your content is not worth reading.  Who wants to read garbage?

When you have your own blog, you are in charge of the content that is posted on it. You can decide what is there, and what is not.  In a way, your blog should be a reflection of you.  Your attention to detail.  You obsession with quality.  Your insistence in over delivering to your visitors/customers.

If you do not have good content, there is no reason for your readers to come back to your blog after their first visit.

You should always have in the back of your mind, ideas, that you can write about in your blog.  For your chosen niche, everything you know, all that you learn, should be considered for blog content.  I think its safe to say that the more your share, the more you earn.

While you’re posting all that great content, you may even have people leaving you comments about it.  Make sure that you always answer anyone kind enough to leave you a comment.  When you do this consistently, it will show your readers that you appreciate them visiting your blog.  And that will create regular visitors.
